The lodge offers:
- Six rooms with en-suites (all rooms have showers, bathrobes, hairdryers, quality toiletries and linen)
- One room has a spa bath
- One room has wheel chair access
- One double room can fit a rollaway.
- An easily accessible tea, coffee making area.
- Spacious, comfortable lounge and dining areas
- Adjoining library and reading room (Dorothy and Malcolm have been collecting books for years and have an extensive selection of modern authors, classics, art books and a selection of rare and collectible New Zealand books)
- Art works (these have been collected over the years and include local and international artists and some of Dorothy's own works)
- Internet service
- Freeview television
Breakfast and snacks (included in the tariff):
- Breakfast: cooked and continental includes home-made muesli, yoghurt, fresh fruit salad, selection of breads and spreads, espresso coffee, variety of teas and juices. The cooked option includes any combination of eggs, bacon, tomato and mushrooms.
- Fresh fruit, home-made baking and tea/coffee available at all times.
Dinner and lunch (not included in the tariff):
- Dinner: pre-dinner nibbles followed by a delicious 3 course meal either indoor or alfresco. Dinner reservations are essential either at time of booking or within 48 hours.
- Wine, beer, spirits and non-alcoholic drinks are available for purchase.
- Lunch: a packed lunch or a lodge lunch can be provided on request.
- All meals utilise wherever possible fresh, locally sourced and home grown produce.
- Special dietary requirements will be catered for with prior notice.
Other facilities and services:
- Full laundry facility provided for guest use.
- Pick up/drop off service from/to the Taieri Gorge Train. Other transfers as required. (A transport charge will apply.)
- The use of mountain bikes, fishing gear, gold pans.
